WHAT TO EXPECT

Traditional - 8:00am & 11:00am

Prelude
Our service will begin with a Prelude piece. This can be played from an organ, a piano, sung by a choir, or a solo piece.

Call to Worship and Opening Hymn
Following the Prelude, there will be a Call to Worship, a call and response taken from Scripture, usually from a Psalm. After the call to worship, we will sing our opening hymn.

Creed
We will recite a creed, such as the Apostles Creed, to affirm our faith.

Prayer & Offering
We take time to pray using the acronym P.R.A.Y. – Praise, Repent, Ask, Yield. We close our prayer time by reciting the Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). After we pray, we ask for people to give of their tithes and offerings.

Offertory Anthem or Hymn
We will either get a chance to hear a special choral piece or sing an additional hymn.

Scripture Lesson & Message
Our Pastor will read a passage of scripture and then teach on that particular passage.

Holy Communion
We partake in Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month and special services, such as Easter and Christmas Eve. Communion is where we remember the Last Supper and the price Christ paid for us on the cross. We use bread (gluten-free option available) to represent Christ’s body and grape juice to represent Christ’s blood.

Closing Hymn
We sing one final hymn following the message (or Communion).

Benediction & Postlude
Our Pastor will give one final prayer to lead us out of the service, followed by a postlude piece.

Contemporary - 9:30am

Opening Song
Our service will begin with a song led by our Contemporary Worship Team, typically an upbeat song.

Announcements
Our Pastor will come up and let us know about upcoming events in the Church and any special announcements that need to be made.

Songs of Praise
We will sing two worship songs led by our Contemporary Worship Team. Most songs we do are by Elevation Worship, Phil Wickham, Hillsong Worship, Passion, Maverick City Music, and North Point Worship.

Prayer & Offering
We take time to pray using the acronym P.R.A.Y. – Praise, Repent, Ask, Yield. After we pray, we ask for people to give of their tithes and offerings.
