Tell us a little about your family…
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Gwen, since 2006. She has truly been a rock. She is spiritually grounded and a great encouragement in life and faith. We have five children (three boys and two girls). Each has been blessed with unique gifts and personalities, and I love being able to spend time with them!

Tell us a little about you…
I am originally from Florida and have spent all my life in Florida, aside from five years in North Carolina. I’m a graduate of Florida State University (Go Seminoles!) and Duke Divinity School. I love college football and college basketball, and sports in general. If I weren’t a pastor, I would want to be a sports talk radio host, sports announcer, or maybe a high school coach. I also love to travel and visit new places. God’s creation is truly beautiful, and it brings me joy to get out and see it all. Whether for pleasure or on mission, traveling allows me to meet people from different places and get to know their stories.

How long have you been in this ministry/position?
I have been serving here since January 2019. Before coming to Port Charlotte, I served for four years as the Pastor of Rehoboth UMC in Henderson, North Carolina. Following that role, I served as the Associate Pastor at Christ UMC in Venice, Florida. Additional ministry experiences include four years as a youth pastor in Jacksonville, Florida, and a year as a Residential Childcare Specialist (House Parent) at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home.
